Browsing History
Browsing History
Overview
TabCmdr can search your browsing history so you can quickly revisit pages you’ve been to before — even if you don’t remember the exact URL.
Enabling History Search
History search requires an optional permission. To enable it:
- Open the TabCmdr Settings page.
- Find the History toggle and turn it on.
- Confirm the permission in the browser prompt.
You can revoke this permission at any time.
Searching History
Once enabled:
- Open the palette with
⌘ K/Ctrl K. - Type any part of a page title or URL.
- History results appear in the results list.
- Press
Enterto navigate to that page.
Timeframe Setting
You can control how far back TabCmdr looks when searching history. Adjust the History timeframe setting on the Settings page to limit results to the last day, week, month, or longer.
Narrowing the timeframe keeps results relevant and speeds up search.
Privacy
History data is fetched from the browser API into memory when you open the palette and discarded when you close it. TabCmdr never stores, transmits, or modifies your history.
