Privacy
TabCmdr reads your tabs, bookmarks and history through the browser's own APIs, keeps them in memory while the palette is open, and drops them when it closes. None of it is sent to TabCmdr.
Install it and press the shortcut. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
The extension has no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking pixels and no cookies.
Tabs, bookmarks, history and downloads are read when you open the palette and kept in memory only. The icon cache keeps site names, not pages.
Bookmarks, history, downloads and closed tabs are optional. Turn on only the ones you want, and turn them off any time.
Chats are sent from your browser to the provider you set up, with your own API key.
Your theme, shortcut and other settings use the browser's own sync storage. TabCmdr never sees them.
Network requests happen only for features that need them: verifying a license with Gumroad, looking up the current price, weather from Open-Meteo, the RSS feeds you follow, the AI provider you chat with, and site icons. Read the privacy policy
I was part of the TabCMDR extension beta testing. When I first started using this extension I was surprised at how quickly it became habit to use TabCMDR to find tabs, downloaded files, bookmarks, and other information that would typically require a mouse but now with TabCMDR can all be done with your keyboard. No tracking, no account, and no cloud connection is a bonus on top of an already great extension.
This tool makes browsing so much easier. No more digging through tabs, everything is fast and accessible. Highly recommend it.
This extension is a lifesaver. When I have multiple tabs open and struggle to find what I need, it makes everything quick and easy to access. Highly recommended!
The feature is very useful and works smoothly. The functionality is well thought out, and the UI is clean and user-friendly. Overall, a great extension experience.

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera and other Chromium-based browsers. Install it from the Chrome Web Store in any of them.
Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux, or click the TabCmdr icon in the toolbar. If another app already uses that shortcut, set a different one in TabCmdr's settings.
On regular web pages the palette opens on top of the page. Browsers don't let extensions run on their own pages, such as chrome:// settings or the Web Store, so on those TabCmdr opens in its own window instead. You can also turn TabCmdr off for any domain you choose.
Yes. Tab search covers every open window at once, and Merge All Windows into One moves them all into the current window.
No. There is nothing to sign up for. Install the extension and press the shortcut.
No. Tabs, bookmarks, history and downloads are read through the browser's own APIs when you open the palette and discarded when you close it. None of it is sent anywhere, and there's no analytics or tracking.
Add an API key for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Groq, DeepSeek, Mistral, Perplexity or OpenRouter in settings. Messages go from your browser straight to that provider, and you pay the provider for what you use. TabCmdr doesn't charge for AI and never sees your chats.
Every feature works during the 7-day trial. After it ends you get 10 free uses a day. A one-time license from Gumroad removes the limit, with no subscription.
Searching tabs, bookmarks, history and downloads, running commands and using the calculator all work offline. AI chat, weather and RSS need a connection because they fetch data.
Both. Search and switch to anything in your browser, then run commands on what you find, such as closing duplicate tabs, sorting tabs or moving a tab to a new window.
